@Huggles:
Blacks had no rights, and, in addition, 1/8 drop of black blood made a person Black, so, for the slaves and slave owners who needed cheap labor, rape was not a myth in the South. The many shades of Blacks prove that. If you think that slave owners didn't rape slaves to procreate more slaves, then you probably believe that U.S. troops don't ever commit atrocities and that the U.S. government would never lie. The 1/8th rule increased the representation of southern members in congress and provided cheap labor for the South's enrichment -- think Civil War. Furthermore, the bridge to "Southern manhood" was more often than not, the statutory rape of the uderage maid (Strom Thurmond). And, don't deny the lynchings of blacks in the South, there is testimony by both whites and blacks to the evidence of this practice. What are you talking about? And yes, I heard of the Duke LaCrosse case and the West Virginia crystal meth case. Again, what are you talking about?

If the girl had to resort to this hoax to gain attention it's probably because she was being suffocated by her mother who looks like the perfect woman and courageous mother of a nutty daughter.

It was a desperate cry for attention. I haven't sen this aspect of the incident being dealt with. I remember the incident, I was in Paris at the time it happened. Anything anti-jewish is sure to gain the place of honor in the news. If the French were not over-reacting at the slightest svastika to make up for their collaboration in the deportation of jews during WW2 such things wouldn't happen.
